Vintage Halloween Cards

Most of you know that I love vintage
cards, so I thought I would find some Halloween ones for you today.

(All the images are courtesy of Pinterest and as they were not copyrighted in any way, I have chosen to include them. )

I am in France with my family at the moment, as I travelled back with them
yesterday, after an 11 hour journey. Unfortunately, we were stationary for two hours, as there had been two accidents on the same stretch of the motorway, so the police had to close both sides.

One person was killed, which is always terrible, and we were thankful to arrive safely.

Hope you all enjoy your weekend, and I'll
see you again soon. Especially for Mr Shady, here is a photo of Alfred gazing up at me adoringly!

Hallo, dear Thisisme! I'm so happy to know you made that long and dangerous trip safely. Seems every time you make the journey to France you come to a screeching halt at least once due to an accident.

These vintage Halloween cards are wonderful. They seem more imaginative and intelligently written than most of the today's cards and the artwork is simply amazing. It's funny how children were drawn with plump, cherubic faces and bodies back then. I enjoyed them very much!

Speaking of chubby faces, I can't tell you how happy I am to see my good buddy Alfred. I had been very worried about his health in recent months and it is most reassuring to see him mugging for the camera.

Enjoy your stay with family in France, dear friend Thisisme!

Blessings, hugs and smooches!

What a great collection of cards you found. I really do like to see your vintage cards when you post them. Indeed I am relieved that you arrived safe and sound. Hugs my awesome friend. Give Alfred a little pat on that cute head for me.

You find the best vintage cards Thisisme, and some of them are a bit scary. They used odd color combinations on these cares, but they are very well done. And, Alfred is looking very good-I'm so glad he's doing well.

Are you staying all week? I hope the weather holds up nicely for you and you have a safe trip back. See you soon, dear lady!♥

Here I thought Halloween was predominantly an American Holiday, and not an old one at that. Vintage Halloween Cards amaze me! Good find, Diane. Bon Vacanse (?) en France. :)
